I think it’s fair to say that we all want to think we’re the most uniquest.

I had an English professor in college once tell us all,  an intelligent bunch of bright-eyed sophomores, that we had been coddled by our parents’ constant collective refrain: “You are wonderful because you are different. We love you because you are unique. Let’s celebrate your “you”-ness!” He urged us to look around the room. We were all wearing the same clothes, listening to the same music, entertaining the same ridiculous dreams of academic stardom.

Let me skip the sad-times “things never turn out the way you think they will” speech, and push on to my point: you ARE different, because every person’s dreams are singularly unique. Similar themes crop up (naked at school! forgot your notes for a presentation! teeth crumbling!), but the feelings, characters, and motivations are all yours, baby. It’s like a little movie you get to direct and star in every night.

My purpose here is not to interpret dreams. Mostly, I just like to share my personal mini-movies, and I hope in time you’ll be inclined to do the same.
